Ryan and Megan's Half-Cross-Country Itinerary
Friday, May 16, 2008 - Monday, May 26, 2008

Can you believe that it's already time for this trip?? It's hard to believe that after thinking/planning this for a year, we're finally venturing on our long road trip! This trip is very special because it will wrap up 49 of the states for both Ryan and Megan - the only state that is left is Alaska. We're taking an entire week off from work, so that we can take this 10-day road trip to cover about 5,000 miles! The only unfortunate thing is that gas has been on the rise and driving is going to cost us a small fortune. It should be totally worth it though! ~Megan

We'll be trying to update our blog throughout the trip. Feel free to give it a read if you're interested!

Emergency Contact Information:
Phone (Ryan's Cell): 410-259-4180
Phone (Megan's Cell): 443-564-1301
E-mail: webmaster@ryanandmegan.net (will be checked as often as possible)

Following our recent tradition, we will be bringing a webcam along with us for the ride. Whenever we get signal, we will try to pump new images to this page every 20 seconds - no need to open a new window or refresh! If the picture doesn't update, then we are out of signal. Just check back later.

Transportation
:
We are taking Ryan's 2006 Honda Civic for this trip. It beats paying a rental car for 10 days. We were thinking about flying one way and driving back, but it makes more sense (both financially and logistically) to take our own car.

Itinerary:

Unfortunately, we haven't quite finished planning this trip yet. Ryan has a prelimary plan mapped out, but it's not exactly finalized yet. Hopefully if you check back later, we'll be able to add some more details!

However, generally speaking, we'll be heading south along the east coast until we get to the top of Florida. We will then head west all the way to San Antonio, Texas. That will be our cue to start heading back home, taking a diagonal northeast route.
